(GSM) – Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has made it clear that he would welcome Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez at the club next season.
“Frankly, I think he is a great coach but for now [Alberto] Zaccheroni is in charge and we must commit ourselves to work for him until the end of the season, then we’ll see,” Marchisio said.
Marchisio’s comments add to the rumours that link Benitez with a move to Turin after this season.
Following Liverpool’s defeat to Chelsea yesterday, Benitez hinted at his departure from the club: “At this club it is normal for the manager to take responsibility, this is the way that it has been for the last two years.”
