According to a recent report from The Independent, Rafa Benitez is a possible option to become Leicester City’s caretaker manager.
Now that Brendan Rodgers has left the club, Leicester’s search for a new boss has begun. The belief is that Thomas Frank and Graham Potter are long term choices once the season is over but for now, the priority is bringing someone in who can ensure the Foxes’ survival in the Premier League.
Martin O’Neill, who won the League Cup twice with the club, is one option in mind. However, he hasn’t held a role since leaving Nottingham Forest in summer 2019.
On the other hand, Rafa Benitez could be available after he was sacked by Everton in January of last year.
There’s no denying that the former Liverpool gaffer has a lot of experience at this level. However, the big question is whether or not he’s the right man to guide Leicester through a tough relegation scrap.
