Benzema staying put

Karim Benzema insists that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid in the January transfer window, or at any time in the future, that’s according to Marca.

Benzema recently called for more playing time for the La Liga Champions as players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain have been keeping him out of the side.

The Frenchman seems to be growing frustrated by sitting on the bench for Real, but said that reports linking him away from the Bernabeu are way off the mark and that he is willing to fight for his place in the side.

He has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 big-spenders Paris Saint-Germain in the January window and that would of course mean heading back to his native France – but it does not seem as though this is something Benzema wants to do.

However, you do never know in this game and if PSG come in with a huge bid and contract offer, it might be too good for him to turn down.

The forward has not been in great form for France either this campaign and is going through somewhat of a goal drought, but he said criticism of his performances are ‘unfair’ and he believes he will be scoring goals for ‘Les Blues’ and Real Madrid soon.
