Berahino pens new Baggies deal

Saido Berahino has signed a new lucrative contract with West Bromwich Albion, according to Sky Sports.

The England U21 international has burst into the Baggies first team this season, scoring six goals in ten appearances in all competitions, including a hat-trick in his senior debut – a 3-0 win over Newport County in the Capital One Cup second round.

He has also impressed at international level, scoring six times in just four appearances for Gareth Southgate’s side.

His previous deal saw him earn wages of £850 per week, but his new contract is believed to me much more lucrative, and is set to keep him at the club until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

The Baggies, who stretched their winless run to three games with a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at the weekend, host Manchester City tomorrow evening and Berahino is priced at 11/1 to get the first goal of the game.
