Manchester United and Dimitar Berbatov are on the verge of making each other very happy, the entire English media reports. According to articles in The Sun, The Daily Mail, The Guardian and others, the English champions are willing to make an offer for Berbatov which Tottenham would deem acceptable.
The Guardian reports that Manchester United are willing to offer as much as £28 million and that the player’s move is imminent. It goes on to suggest that the player might even undergo the medical today.
Manchester United have had a torrid time scoring goals in the absence of several key players and have now stepped up their pursuit of Berbatov, whom they hope to have ready for Sunday’s Premier League kick-off against Newcastle.
Berbatov, in turn is desperate to showcase his fine talents on the world’s highest stage, the UEFA Champions League.
