Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov is prepared to consider an offer from Russia, according to the player’s agent.
The Bulgarian only joined the Cottagers in the summer, but he is reportedly becoming disillusioned with life at the club.
He, therefore, might be prepared to consider a summer exit, with a number of Russian Premier League sides rumoured to be interested.
Berbatov’s representative has now moved to confirm reports linking his client with a switch to Russia.
“I have heard of interest in Berbatov from Russian clubs in the past and I still hear of them today,” agent Emil Danchev told Izvestia.
“The Russian league is growing seriously and should soon become one of the leading championships in Europe so to play in that country would be interesting.
“Of course, much will depend on the decision of the Fulham hierarchy but, at the moment, I do not know of any formal offers.”
Dimitar Berbatov has spent last seven years in English Premier League, making 208 league appearances and scoring 88 goals in the process while representing Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham.
He has netted 13 times in 30 Premier League fixtures for Fulham this term, but it would appear he is not entirely happy at his current club.
