(GSM) – Hamburger SV’s Swedish striker Marcus Berg is set to return to the Dutch Eredivisie after agreeing a loan deal with PSV.
The 23-year-old attracted international interest after a successful spell at FC Groningen, earning him a move to Hamburg last year.
Although the player failed to conquer a spot in Hamburg’s starting line-up, he did set a club record in his very first Bundesliga game as he scored after just 182 seconds after coming on in a home match with Borussia Dortmund.
Berg, who said to be happy with his return to Dutch football, will compete with fellow countryman Ola Toivonen, as well as Danny Koevermans, Stefan Nijland and Jonathan Reis.
