Monaco hotshot Bernardo Silva has moved to suggest that he wouldn’t mind staying at Stade Louis II beyond the current season.
Following some scintillating showings in French Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League, the 22-year-old has become one of world’s most sought-after footballers, with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Man Utd and Man City just some of the interested sides.
And while a summer exit appeared on the cards, Bernardo Silva seems to have been so impressed with Monaco’s performances this term that he now wants to stay at Stade Louis II, although he is hoping other key men will also resist temptation to leave for greener pastures.
“If everyone stays here, we can do something special,” Silva said in a press conference. “Here we can play the Champions League and win titles, it’s the highest level.
”All the players are happy and want to continue. The team is young and wants to win trophies.
“I feel very well here. We never know what is going to happen, but I am finishing my third season, hopefully with the (Ligue 1) title.”
Bernardo Silva has been in excellent form this season, as witnessed by 8 goals and 11 assists in 35 Ligue 1 appearances.
