Bernardo Silva wants Benfica return

According to a recent report from A Bola, Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has stated that he would be interested in returning to Benfica one day.

This revelation comes in the immediate aftermath of the announcement that City would be banned from the UEFA Champions League for two seasons. A lot have fans have pointed out the convenience of this, given that Silva would obviously have a much better chance of making his way back into Europe’s top club competition in the next few years if he went back to Portugal.

The issues surrounding Man City right now are bound to lead to more than a few exits from the club in the next few years, and potentially even the next few months. Now, it’s all a question of whether or not they’re able to keep hold of some of their biggest stars – or whether it’s all going to fall apart.
