Bernd Schuster under more fire

Real Madrid fans are calling for the heads of President Ramon Calderon and Bernd Schuster.

This comes a mere six months after Real Madrid won their thirty-first Primera Division league title, more than any club in Spain.

Sunday’s 3-4 defeat at home to Sevilla could have sounded the death knell of either or both president and coach.

The club has slipped to fifth position in the league and they are a massive nine points behind archrivals Barcelona.

On Saturday, both clubs meet at the Nou Camp in Barcelona and if Barcelona were to win it will mean a twelve-point deficit.

Supporters are even angrier after today’s statement to the media in which Schuster stated that Real Madrid had very little chance of winning in Barcelona.

Fans are also unhappy with Schuster and the club’s policy of not encouraging young Spanish players at the club.

The biggest question being asked by Real Madrid fans is “Will Schuster be fired before or after the Barcelona match?”
