Hearts skipper Christophe Berra has admitted that he would be keen on a move to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Bolton Wanderers in the media in recent days.
Berra almost joined Championship side Wolves last summer.
“These things will happen when you’re playing well,” he told the Daily Record.
“Wolves did make an offer and things at the club at the time were unsettled because we didn’t have a manager.
“The club rejected the offer, but I have ambitions to play at a higher level, hopefully, in the English Premier League.
“I’m only 23 and still developing as a player. However, if I keep playing an improving I’m sure my chance will come.”
