(GSM) – Besiktas clinched a spot in next season’s Europa League on Sunday with a 3-1 victory away Diyarbakirspor while Denizlispor were relegated despite beating Gençlerbirligi.
Besiktas went in front in the 25th minute as Michael Fink found the back of the net, but Diyarbakirspor equalized three minutes after the restart on Thierry Tazemeta’s strike.
But Besiktas went back in front in the 67th minute when the ball deflected off Diyarbakirspor’s Abdullah Cetin into their own goal.
Rodrigo Tello sealed the win with seven minutes to play.
Denizlispor were guaranteed relegation despite their win over Gençlerbirligi as Sivasspor got a 1-1 draw with Kasimpasa.
Those results left Denizlispor seven points back of safety with only two games remaining.
