Besiktas are not interested in signing Luuk de Jong, according to Mundo Deportivo. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Barcelona want to get rid of the former Newcastle United loanee in the January transfer window, but Turkish giants Besiktas do not want him.
De Jong joined Barcelona on loan from La Liga rivals Sevilla in the summer transfer window. The 31-year-old striker, who had a loan spell at Newcastle from Borussia Monchengladbach back in 2014, is scheduled to stay at Camp Nou until the end of the season.
However, Barcelona want to get rid of the striker and terminate his loan deal. That is unlikely if there is no club interested in the Netherlands international. Besiktas were interested in the De Jong in the summer of 2021, but they are no longer in for another striker now.
