Besiktas were eliminated from Europa League after a thrilling matchup with French side Lyon.
The Turkish outfit lost 7-6 on penalties after a 3-3 aggregate result from the two quarterfinal legs and it turns out that Besiktas fans’ efforts almost paid dividends in the end as their team was on verge of the semifinal.
Interesting video emerged after the match, though, showing Besiktas fans throwing firecrackers and lighting up flares on boats near the hotel where Lyon were staying night before the match as they attempted to scare the French and keep them awake through the night to hopefully leave them tired for the game.
