Besiktas remain on course to win the Turkish Super Lig, following a 2-1 victory over Galatasaray in an Istanbul derby. Sivasspor beat Genclerbirligi 3-2.

Forty minutes had been played at the match between Besiktas and Galatasaray, when the hosts went ahead thanks to a goal from Bobo. Harry Kewell equalised shortly after the break but Yusuf Simsek went on to score the winning goal in minute 59.

Sivasspor hosted Genclerbirligi and conceded a 22nd-minute goal from James Troisi. Yanick Kamanan levelled in the 48th though, and Herve Tum made it 2-1 on the hour. Murat Erdogan added another a few minutes later. Jacques Momha netted for 3-2 on 77 minute but Sivasspor held on to their lead.

With just one match to go, Besiktas have two points more than Sivasspor. Next week, Besiktas play away to Denizlispor while Sivasspor face a tough task at Galatasaray.
