The Italian media are reporting that Turkish giants Besiktas are ready to pounce for Edin Dzeko, who is identified as the perfect replacement for Mario Gomez.
The experienced German striker was on the verge on leaving Turkey in January with Slaven Bilic’s West Ham reportedly keen on giving him the chance to come to the Premier League, but the deal to bring the 30-year-old to London was ultimately not materialized.
However, with Gomez currently negotiating a move to China for a mega money deal, La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Besiktas have turned toward AS Roma striker as a possible replacement.
The Italian media outlet suggest that Giallorossi are bracing themselves for a €20 million offer which could tempt Walter Sabatini to sell the Bosnian forward.
Gazzetta also claim that Dzeko would not be too keen on a move away from Roma, having only arrived five months ago from Manchester City.
Edin Dzeko has been a mainstay for AS Roma this term having already played 20 Serie A games, scoring four goals in the process.
Luciano Spalletti has brought in Stephan El Shaarawy during the winter January window but he is believed to be a huge fan of the Bosnian player.
