Turkish champions Besiktas are believed to be keen on Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.
The 30-year-old Turkish playmaker has endured a difficult season with the Catalan giants and is thought to be open for a summer move away from Camp Nou. Arda Turan is under contract with the Catalans until 2020 but his stay with La Liga side could be cut short as transfer speculations regarding the former Atletico Madrid star gain pace.
With the player himself shutting the door on a China move, Arsenal are believed to have stepped up the chase for Arda Turan, but the Catalan Sport now reports that Turkish champions Besiktas has emerged as favourites to sign the midfielder.
Besiktas are willing to offer €5 million a year which is a substantially higher amount Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are willing to fork out.
Turan made only 18 La Liga appearances last season for Barcelona and managed three goals.
The 30-year-old struggled to break into the first team under Luis Enrique and is not under illusions that he will be able to change his status with Ernesto Valverde, who has identified other midfield priorities.
