Besiktas failed to take advantage of the chance to move into first place in the Turkish League, as the Istanbul outfit forgot to score against Bursaspor.
As leaders Sivasspor drew 0-0 with Konyaspor on Saturday, Besiktas had the perfect opportunity to surpass their rivals. But, just like three rounds ago, they failed.
The hosts weren’t helped either by a second yellow card to Ibrahim Toraman shortly before the break.
Galatasaray beat Istanbul BB 0-1 and move into fourth place as result. This position gives direct access to the UEFA Cup. The only goal of the match was scored by Czech stiker Milan Baros in the 66th minute.
