According to Football Insider, Real Betis are making progress in their efforts to sign Marc Roca on a permanent transfer from Leeds United, with the midfielder currently playing for the La Liga side on loan.
The 27-year-old left Leeds on a temporary deal following their relegation from the Premier League last summer. Though the team currently occupies the third place in the Championship which leads to promotion playoffs, Roca apparently has no intention of playing at Elland Road again, and is keen make his stay at the Estadio Benito Villamarin a permanent arrangement. He has already instructed his agent to find a way to get it done.
Roca was a part of the Betis squad for each of the 18 La Liga games they’ve played so far, starting on 16 occasions and making one appearance off the bench. Obviously an important player for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, he has made 25 appearances in all competitions in 2023/24, scoring four goals and adding two assists.
