Real Betis head coach Rubi has confirmed the club’s interest in Carles Alena of Barcelona.
Betis’ form has improved recently. After a poor start to the campaign, they won their last three La Liga games on the trot – against Valencia, Mallorca and Athletic Bilbao, which had propelled them to the 11th place before Levante surprisingly beat Granada away today (Saturday) and pushed them down to 12th. They will, however, have a chance to climb back up when they meet Espanyol in Barcelona on Sunday.
As quoted by Marca, Rubi has revealed that Betis are preparing for a busy transfer window in January. According to him, they will push for several signings, and Alena might be one of them. But before that, he needs his team to focus on the games at hand and win as many points as possible ahead of the turn of the year.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made just two league appearances for the Catalan giants this season.
