Real Betis are interested in Daniel Sturridge of Liverpool, according to France Football.
The respected football magazine reports this week that Betis are determined to continue their ambitious project, and they are currently contemplating the possibility of stepping in and taking advantage of Sturridge’s situation at Liverpool. The striker is out of contract come the end of the season, and regardless of Betis and their interest, there will be a bog decision to be made, both by the Merseyside club and the player himself. Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have mostly been alternating in the centre-forward role this term, and Divock Origi has recently been getting more opportunities from the bench than Sturridge.
The former England international may have lost some of his electric pace due to numerous injuries in the past and doesn’t make those dangerous runs in behind defences, but his finishing is still as good as ever, as Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will have learned from his stunning late equalizer at Stamford Bridge earlier this season.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested as well.
