Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo has learned that Real Betis are interested in signing Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.
Los Verdiblancos will need attacking reinforcements once Joel Campbell and Dorlan Pabon return to their respective clubs at the end of the campaign.
The La Liga side seem to be weighing up a move for Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh, who should be available at a cut-price deal in the summer.
The only problem could be the player’s high salary, meaning he would probably be required to take a pay cut in order to join Betis.
Marouane Chamakh joined Arsenal three years back on a free transfer from Bordeaux, but he has utterly failed to prove his worth at the Emirates.
The 29-year-old started just 19 Premier League games for the Gunners, while making another 21 substitute appearances and scoring 8 goals.
He has spent the last few months on loan at West Ham, but only featured in 3 league matches for the Hammers.
