Radio Marca is reporting that Real Betis are stepping up their interest in QPR midfielder Esteban Granero.
Los Verdiblancos look set to stay without key midfielder Benat Etxebarria and they believe the former Real Madrid player would be a perfect replacement.
However, Granero’s €2.5 million yearly wage could prove to be a problem, while QPR are also unlikely to sell him on the cheap.
The good news is that the player himself wants to leave the club in the summer and a return to Spanish La Liga would be a realistic option.
Despite seeing little playing time in his first ever Premier League season, the 25-year-old has managed to prove his worth at Loftus Road and he will have no shortage of offers at the end of the campaign.
Granero has made a total of 23 Premier League appearances for Rangers this season, and has only managed one goal in the process.
