Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Betis are hoping to sign Evian goalkeeper Stephan Andersen.
Los Verdiblancos boss Pepe Mel has three goalkeepers at his disposal at the moment, but with first choice keeper Adrian rejecting a new contract offer, he is forced to start the search for a new number one.
Real Betis have, therefore, set their sights on Evian shot-stopper Stephan Andersen, who is set to leave his current employers in the summer.
The 31-year-old’s contract is due to expire in June and with the player having lost his place in the starting line-up, he is not interested in a contract renewal.
Andersen, who is still a first team regular for Denmark, will be offered a two-year deal at Estadio Benito Villamarin.
Meanwhile, Real Betis are closing in on Recreativo Huelva forward Chuli, while they have already agreed to sign full-back Juanfran from Real Madrid Castilla.
