La Liga side Real Betis have confirmed desire to re-sign Dani Ceballos who moved to La Liga champions Real Madrid last summer.
The 21-year-old midfielder left Real Betis in a €16 million deal following a highly successful summer with the Spanish U-21 side but his career with Los Blancos did not hit off as expected with Ceballos starting only two La Liga games thus far.
Ceballos completed only 268 minutes of competitive action across all competitions for Real Madrid this season, which included four Champions League cameo appearances and 3 Copa del Rey games.
The Spanish midfielder managed to score 2 goals for Real Madrid but the struggling Spanish champions failed to make better use of the talent at their disposal and Real Betis manager Qique Setiens feels that Ceballos would be better off back at Los Verdiblancos on loan.
“Players need to be playing football, particularly when they are at such an early stage in their careers, as it helps their development and growth as a player.”, he told El Larguero.
