Marcus Bettinelli is set to sign a new contract with Fulham, according to the Mail Online.
The twenty-six-year old is to be rewarded with fresh terms after an impressive start to the season, which has been him recalled as the Cottagers’ first choice shot-stopper and receive his first senior international call up.
Having spent the first two league games on the bench, Bettinelli has played in each of the last seven fixtures, and while he is yet to keep a Premier League clean sheet his form has been recognised by Gareth Southgate.
The England boss named him in the squads for the last four games though he is yet to make his debut with Jordan Pickford firmly established as number one.
He also made his one hundredth senior appearance for his club last month, with one of those outings coming in last season’s Championship play-off final against Aston Villa, where he kept a clean sheet.
