Alexis Sanchez continues to lead the scoring charts for Arsenal and will need no reminding about the added value to manager Arsene Wenger of beating Stoke City.

Wenger was subjected to taunts from his own club’s fans after the Gunners lost 3-2 at the Britannia

Stadium at the beginning of December.

With Arsenal outside the top five in the Premier League table and below rivals Tottenham, the pressure remains on Wenger and his players.

Sanchez has scored 10 goals in 19 Premier League games and the Chilean’s team-mates will be looking to provide him with as many chances as possible, since his fellow strikers have been nowhere near as prolific this season.

England striker Danny Welbeck has four goals in 16 games and Frenchman Olivier Giroud is banned after head-butting Nedum Onuoha in the 2-1 win over QPR on Boxing Day.

Stoke have conceded 24 goals in 20 Premier League games, which lends weight to the argument that Sanchez stands a good chance of netting against them.

However, Stoke boss Mark Hughes will call on his players to display the spirit they showed in that win over the Gunners last month as he bids to do the double over Wenger.

A win could move his side into the top 10 in the table and so boost their outside hopes of qualifying for the Europa League.

Enhanced price therefore maximum stake of £25 per user.
