Sergio Aguero’s goals have almost single-handedly kept Manchester City’s title defence on course this season.

An inconsistent start to the Premier League campaign has seen Manuel Pellegrini’s side struggle to match the early pace set by Chelsea.

Dropping points to the likes of West Ham and QPR in recent fixtures ramped up the pressure at the Etihad Stadium, and speculation mounted about the future of Pellegrini.

At least the form of Aguero has allowed the Chilean to take a little solace while all around him have been waiting for the owners to press the panic button.

The mood at City has not been helped by all-too-familiar struggles in the Champions League, but when the chips were down, Aguero fired in a hat-trick to snatch a dramatic 3-2 win over Bayern Munich.

The Argentinian has been just as prolific in the Premier League, claiming all four goals in a 4-1 demolition of Tottenham and a brace against QPR.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is still searching for the consistency his side need to show if they are to qualify for the Europa League for the second season in succession.

What Martinez will require against Aguero is a solid performance from his defensive unit and England defender Phil Jagielka epitomizes the sort of character the Spaniard will be seeking.

Jagielka has been a reliable presence for the Merseyside club, with his displays in the Premier League lifting him near the top of the form table.

Enhanced price therefore maximum stake of £25 per user.
