Everton and Tottenham are hard to separate with Roberto Martinez’s side above Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs in the Premier League only on goal difference.

Both teams have failed to light up the scoring charts this season with NacerChadliTottenham’s best on six goals and Everton’s RomeluLukaku one less productive with five.

But where Everton do have the edge is in a superior shots on target average away from home to their opponents when they are at White Hart Lane.

Spurs have an average of just over 12 shots per game at home while Everton’s average away from Goodison Park is just below 13 per game.

But whereas Spurs struggle to get an average of three on target per game at home Everton’s away average of shots on target per game is over five.

The north London club have barely done enough to quell the unrest that regularly surfaces amongst fans if their team are not challenging for a European qualification place as Pochettino’s side continue to struggle for consistency.

A longest winning streak of two games in the Premier League from a total of five victories and two draws out of 12 fixtures is clear evidence of how Pochettino’s side have struggled to make their mark.

A 2-1 win last time out at Hull at least gave his players a slice of confidence ahead of their home encounter with Everton.

Spurs will need to step up from their average start to the campaign if they are to match or improve upon last season’s finish of sixth in the standings which earned them the added attraction of Europa League competition.

Enhanced price therefore maximum stake of £25 per user.
