Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia has revealed he is on the verge of joining Lazio in the summer transfer window.
The Argentine footballer has been heavily linked with a summer exit, with the Biancocelesti just one of the interested clubs.
However, they were the first side to agree a transfer fee with Anderlecht, according to the player himself.
“I will finally fulfill my dream of playing in a higher level. Lazio have agreed to pay €5.5m plus commissions for my transfer,” Biglia told Belgian TV station RTBF.
The 27-year-old arrives at Stadio Olimpico to provide competition for Cristian Ledesma and to increase competition for places in the centre of the park.
Lucas Biglia has spent last seven years at Anderlecht having joined the club from Independiente in the summer of 2006.
He has since clocked up 186 league appearances for the Belgian giants and scored 11 goals in the process.
Biglia has been linked with just about every top club over the last couple of years, but he has finally been given a chance to prove his worth at the biggest stage.
