Bilbao raise their bid for youngster Herrera

Athletic Bilbao look they could beat both Real Madrid and Getafe to the punch as they have produced a bid of €2.5 million for Ander Herrera.

The midfielder, who is just 19-years-old, has apparently garnered interest from both of the Madrid clubs mentioned above but it is Athletic who have made the first move with regards to signing the player.

Spanish newspaper AS reports that Basque side originally put in a bid of €1.5 million for the player but, in the last few hours, have raised that by another million.
