Bilic’s West Brom future in doubt

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Slaven Bilic’s position as West Bromwich Albion manager is still under threat.

The entertaining former Croatia boss has come under fire after a poor start to the new Premier League campaign with the Baggies already looking like one of the favourites for relegation. Some fans believe that he needs to be given more time but others are of the belief that he has taken the team as far as it can go.

The eccentric nature of his style, combined with the strength of their squad at the Championship level, ensured that they were able to gain promotion back to the top flight last season. However, it’s clear to see that there are some significant gaps they need to resolve – and if Bilic does stay, the board needs to give him notable backing in the January transfer window. If not, the club is staring at an instant return to the second tier.
