Billy Sharpe 11/10 to score anytime against West Brom in Friday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Billy Sharpe to score anytime

Odds: 8/5 @ Bet 365

Two sides with a growing reputation for their goalscoring exploits, Darren Moore’s Baggies will travel to Bramall Lane on Friday night.

Starting with Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United side, after picking up a 2-0 win over Reading last time out, The Blades are enjoying a very bright start to the new season. Sat up in third and within touching distance of the automatic positions, Friday’s hosts know that they will need to improve on their recent record at Bramall Lane if they’re to book a return to the Premier League. United have picked up just one win in their last four matches on home soil. Ending his goalscoring draught and finding the net in last weekend’s victory, Wilder will be looking for captain and leading goalscorer Billy Sharpe to lead from the front. The 32-year-old now has 12 goals across all competitions and sits third in the Championship charts.

As for the visitors, while West Brom may have endured a four-match winless run back in October, Darren Moore’s side appear to be back on track. Thanks to a last-gasp goal from Jay Rodriguez in last weekend’s Midlands derby helping the Baggies pick up a point against fellow playoff hopefuls Aston Villa, West Brom are now unbeaten in their last five Championship outings. While no side has scored more goals than their 44 this season, it will be their defensive issues giving Moore the biggest headache. Friday’s visitors have now managed to record just one clean sheet in their last 13 appearances, a run that stems back to the end of September.
