Asian football chief Mohammad bin Hammam has begun facing evidence at a FIFA ethics committee hearing in Zurich.
The suspended FIFA executive member faces allegations of bribery that could see him banned from the sport for life.
The 62-year-old is accused of offering cash in exchange for votes as he prepared to challenge Sepp Blatter for the FIFA presidency.
Bim Hammam denies any wrongdoing.
His case will be heard alongside those of Debbie Minguell and Jason Sylvester, regional football officials who are alleged to have facilitated the bribery at a Caribbean Football Union summit in May.
Former FIFA vice president and CONCACAF president Jack Warner was also charged over his alleged role, but he subsequently resigned and the case against him was dropped.
FIFA’s ethics committee will announce their decision on Saturday.
