(GSM) – Birmingham City are in an advanced stage in their bid to bring Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi to St Andrews.

The 33-year-old Italian is tipped to make a move away from the Turin giants after spending eight years at Juventus.

And Vlado Borozan, who is mediating between Juventus and Birmingham to make the deal go through, has revealed that Camoranesi may soon make the move to England.

Borozan told tuttomercatoweb: “The agreement for the transfer of Camoranesi has been reached.

“On Monday we’ll go to England to arrange the final details, we are doing very well. Camoranesi said yes and is excited about this new adventure.”

Another player who has caught the attention of manager Alex McLeish is Camoranesi’s teammate and World Cup winner Fabio Grosso.

Borozan added: “Birmingham also want Grosso. There is the desire to conclude this deal, now let’s see if there are conditions and if there is the will of the player.”
