Birmingham eye Wilson move

Birmingham City are eyeing a loan move for Manchester United forward James Wilson, according to ESPN.

The England U21 international has only made seven starts for his parent club since turning professional and looks to be further limited in his chances at with the Red Devils following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He spent the majority of last season on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion, racking up twenty-seven appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring five goals and he looks set for another switch to the Championship ahead this campaign.

A number of sides in the English second tier are keeping an eye on the twenty year old’s situation though Blues boss Gary Rowett is keen to secure his services.

Birmingham opened their 2016/17 campaign with a goalless draw against Cardiff City, with their next league game a trip to Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
