Birmingham want Pato?

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, former Brazil international Alexandre Pato is wanted by Birmingham City.

The former Sao Paulo star has been without a club since earlier this year but at the age of just 31, the general belief from the Blues is that he’s still got a lot left in the tank.

The ex-AC Milan man was once considered to be the next big thing in world football but that didn’t really happen for him, and now, it’s just a case of extending his career and proving that he’s still got what it takes to make an impact in Europe.

He’s had some time away from the spotlight and it feels like he’s ready to bounce back, but if he does so, many wonder whether or not the Championship is the best level for him.

Then again, he may not be quite ready to step up to the Premier League level just yet.
