Hoping to extend their stay in the Champions League spots this weekend, Atletico Madrid will welcome Cadiz to the Wanda Metropolitano on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Atletico Madrid might have shown some extended issues this season, it does appear that the Spanish champions have found a much-welcomed boost. Last seen claiming an impressive 3-1 win away at Real Betis, Head Coach Diego Simeone has seen his side find a route back into the Champions League places. Landing three La Liga victories on the spin, there is no doubt that fans around the Wanda Metropolitano will be calling on the red-hot Joao Felix to spearhead their charge on Friday night. Once again putting in s Man of the Match display last weekend and bagging a brace against Betis, Simeone’s attacking talisman has now recorded four goals in as many appearances across all competitions. Enjoying what is arguably his brightest spell in the Spanish capital, the 22-year-old should be confident of extending on his purple patch here.

As for the visitors, managing to draw a line under their five-match winless run with a 2-0 victory against Rayo Vallecano last weekend, Cadiz will be desperate to cause an upset on the road here. However, still firmly battling it out at the foot of the La Liga table and in a real battle to avoid the drop this season, Head Coach Sergio González has seen his side gain a reputation for their worrying issues on the road. Including back-to-back 2-1 defeats against Mallorca and Valencia last month, Friday’s guests have recorded just a single La Liga win away from the Nuevo Mirandilla since November 5th. Suffering a 4-0 drumming the last time they made the trip to the Wanda Metropolitano, we’re backing Felix and co to cash in on the away day strugglers here.

Bet: Joao Felix to score anytime against Cadiz 8/5 for Friday’s La Liga showdown @ 888sport
