Competition: International Friendly

Market: Azerbaijan win

Odds: 6/5 @ BetUS

Meeting for a friendly showdown on Tuesday afternoon, Azerbaijan will welcome Kazakhstan to the Baku Olympic Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, eventually falling to a 3-1 loss away at Albania over the weekend, Azerbaijan will certainly be looking to claim an immediate response here. Although the Blues might have fallen well short of mounting any kind of EURO 24 qualifying charge last year, interim boss Arif Asadov has seen his squad suffering just a trio of defeats from any of their previous eight appearances across all competitions. Making a stunning statement during November’s international break as they stormed their way to a 3-0 romp against Sweden, Azerbaijan will be excited by their largely rugged success on home soil. Last seen at the Baku Olympic Stadium snatching a 1-1 stalemate against Bulgaria, Tuesday’s hosts have lost just one of their previous five showdowns in front of their own supporters. It should also be noted, Asadov’s men clinched a routine 3-0 victory when they last welcomed Kazakhstan to Baku for a Nations League battle in September 2022.

As for the visitors, while Kazakhstan might have gained plenty of plaudits following on from their EURO 24 qualifying adventure last year, the Yellows have largely come crashing back down to earth. Last seen over the weekend falling to a 2-1 loss against Armenia on foreign soil, Stanislav Cherchesov’s side have lost all of their previous three appearances across all competitions by an aggregate score of 9-2. Watching their qualifying adventure come to a nightmare end back on March 21st as they suffered a routine 5-0 drumming away at Greece, Kazakhstan have also lost four of their last five matchups across all competitions. Likewise, falling to a 3-0 defeat when they travelled to Baku back in September 2022, it should also be noted that Cherchesov’s men have collected just a single win from any of their five historic trips to Azerbaijan. Facing what could be a tough challenge here, we are backing a home draw no bet in midweek.

Bet: Azerbaijan 6/5 to beat Kazakhstan in Tuesday’s International Friendly matchup @ BetUS
