Bitesize Prediction: Bodo/Glimt vs Porto – 25/09/24

Competition: Europa League

Market: Goal to be scored in both halves

Odds: 4/7 @ BetUS

Two sides getting their respective Europa League adventure underway on Thursday night, Bodo/Glimt will welcome Porto to Norway.

Starting with the hosts, failing to pick up any kind of momentum over the weekend as they fell to what was a remarkable 4-1 drumming away at Brann, Bodo/Glimt are desperately seeking an immediate response here. Nevertheless, despite watching their Champions League qualifying adventure come to an end last month as they fell to a 3-2 aggregate defeat against Serbian giants Red Star, Kjetil Knutsen’s men have impressed this season. Still holding a commanding seven-point buffer at the top of the Eliteserien standings, the Yellow Horde have also gained a reputation for their success on home soil. Marking their return from September’s international break with a routine 3-0 romp against HamKam, Bodo/Glimt have won all of their previous eight consecutive appearances in front of their own supporters across all competitions – a run that stems back to a 1-1 stalemate against Sandefjord on May 29th. It should also be highlighted, Knutsen’s side have registered 31 goals in those eight straight home victories.

As for the visitors, although Porto might have entered September’s international break with a 2-0 loss at the hands of arch-rivals Sporting Lisbon, the Dragons have come roaring back in some style. Only continuing to shine since opening up the new campaign and with their sights firmly set on getting their hands on a 31st domestic crown, Vitor Bruno’s men have collected 15 points from their first six Primeira Liga appearances. Last seen over the weekend putting in another dominant display as they stormed their way to a 3-0 romp away at Guimaraes, the Portuguese heavyweights have really impressed with their performances in the final third. Getting proceedings underway on August 10th with another 3-0 victory against Gil Vicente, Wednesday’s guests have already bagged 16 goals across all competitions since opening up the new campaign. It should also be highlighted, continuing on from last season, Porto have suffered just a single defeat on their travels since the end of March.

Bet: Goal to be scored in both halves at Bodo/Glimt vs Porto 4/7 for Wednesday’s Europa League battle @ BetUS
