Competition: Serie A
Market: Inter Milan win
Odds: 8/15 @ 888sport
Looking to mark their return from the festive break with another flurry on the road, Inter Milan will make the trip to Bologna on Thursday morning.
Starting with the hosts, after managing to enter the festive break with a much-needed 3-0 romp away at Sassuolo, there is no doubt that Bologna will now be seeking some stability in 2022. Marking their return to action on Thursday morning hanging onto their spot in the top-half of the Serie A table, the Rossoblù will be more than aware that they face a stern test here. Suffering three straight defeats last month against Juventus, Torino and Fiorentina, Head Coach Siniša Mihajlović should also be worried by his side’s continued issues against the defending Italian champions. Suffering a woeful 6-1 drumming when they made the trip to the San Siro back in September, Bologna have lost each of their last three meetings against Inter by an aggregate score of 10-1. Likewise, they have not recorded a single win against Thursday’s guests at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara since 2002.
As for the visitors, heading into the festive break with what was a deserved 1-0 win against Torino last month, Inter Milan have once again continued to impress many across Italy this season. Marking their return to action holding a four-point buffer at the top of the table, the defending champions have their sights firmly set on reclaiming their title. Booking their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League, Simone Inzaghi’s men have now won eight of their last nine matchups across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to November 7th. Likewise, last seen away from the San Siro landing a 5-0 romp against Salernitana, Inter should be smelling a golden chance on their travels here. Given their rampant record against Thursday’s hosts, we’re backing what could be a routine away victory here.
