Bitesize Prediction: Bournemouth vs Everton – 30/03/24

Competition: Premier League

Market: Bournemouth win

Odds: 5/4 @ Pribet

Hoping to make up some ground in the top-half chase, Bournemouth will make their return from March’s international break when they welcome Everton to the Vitality on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Bournemouth might have opened up the 2023/24 campaign in the midst of a public struggle, the Cherries have come roaring back in a stellar fashion. Mounting a stunning comeback prior to March’s international break as they secured a 4-3 victory at home against Luton, Andoni Iraola’s men have continued to skyrocket their way up the Premier League standings. Continuing to receive a string of plaudits, the former Rayo Vallecano boss will be calling on his high-flying squad to make another statement here. Despite watching their FA Cup adventure come to an end at the hands of Championship outfit Leicester on February 27th, Bournemouth have collected seven points from their previous three Premier League appearances. Opening March with a routine 2-0 victory away at relegation scrappers Burnley, Saturday’s hosts have gained a reputation for their clinical performances in the final third. It should also be noted, Bournemouth claimed a 3-0 romp when they welcomed Everton to the Vitality last season.

As for the visitors, still dealing with a string of financial issues behind the scenes at Goodison Park and hit with more potential sanctions down the pipeline, Everton face a real battle over the next few months. Last seen heading into March’s international break with a 2-0 loss away at Manchester United, Sean Dyche has found some mounting pressure on his shoulders. Marking their return from the fortnight break at the heart of another relegation scrap, the former Burnley boss should be bracing himself for another stern challenge here. In fact, Everton have failed to muster a single victory from any of their previous 11 straight Premier League appearances – a rut that stems all the way back to November 16th. Likewise, crashing out of the FA Cup following a 2-1 defeat at home against Luton on January 27th, Saturday’s guests will also be concerned by their most recent trip to the Vitality. Hit with a 3-0 drumming when they travelled to the south coast last season, we are expecting a similar home victory this weekend.
