Bitesize Prediction: Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest – 18/02/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

Two sides who have their sights set on securing a Premier League return this season, Bournemouth will welcome Nottingham Forest to the Vitality on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to mount a great escape on their travels last weekend, Bournemouth will be desperate to build off of that momentum here. Eventually landing a 2-1 win away at Blackpool, Scott Parker’s men do appear to have found a much-needed Championship boost. Watching their FA Cup run come to an end at the hands of National League ouftit Boreham Wood earlier in the month, the Cherries have still won each of their last three second-tier matchups. With their recent resurge highlighted by a 3-1 victory against Birmingham on February 9th, the former Fulham boss has made it clear that he is calling on his side to keep up their stability. Despite showing some extended issues at the back over recent months, Bournemouth do open this weekend’s fixtures holding a four-point buffer in the automatic promotion spots.

As for the visitors, while Nottingham Forest might have been disappointed to have only collected a point against Stoke last weekend, the mood in Steve Cooper’s camp should still be at a real high. Continuing to impress since appointing the former Swansea boss, Friday’s guests now have their sights set on securing a stunning Premier League return this year. Extending on their FA Cup adventure after collecting back-to-back wins against the Premier League duo of Arsenal and Leicester, Forest will be desperate to lay down another marker here. Suffering just a single defeat across all formats since the end of December, the one-time European champions have continued to shine with their performances in the final third. In a showdown between two promotion contenders here, we’re backing what could be a lively affair at the Vitality.
