Bitesize Prediction: Brentford vs Bournemouth – 09/11/24

Competition: Premier League

Market: Goal to be scored in both halves

Odds: 3/5 @ BetUS

Looking to extend on their recent Premier League purple patch, Bournemouth will travel to the Gtech when they meet Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, suffering what was an infamous injury-time collapse away at west London rivals Fulham on Monday night as they eventually suffered a 2-1 loss at Craven Cottage, Brentford could show some signs of an emotional hangover here. Although the Bees might have clung to an action-packed 4-3 win against relegation scrappers Ipswich last month, Thomas Frank’s men have drastically struggled to find any kind of stability since opening up the new campaign. Despite getting proceedings underway with a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace on August 18th, Saturday’s hosts have won just a pair of their previous seven Premier League appearances and they are still scrapping it out in the bottom-half of the table. Likewise, marking their return from October’s international break with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United, Brentford have failed to claim a single Premier League clean sheet so far this season. It should also be noted, Saturday’s hosts have seen each of their first seven showdowns at the Gtech finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, springing what was a famous upset at the Vitality last weekend as they secured a sensational 2-1 victory against defending champions Manchester City, Bournemouth have embarked on a remarkable flurry since returning from October’s international break. Collecting another heavyweight scalp last month as they clinched a 2-0 win against title contenders Arsenal, Andoni Iraola’s men have collected seven points from their previous three Premier League appearances and they have skyrocketed their way into the top-half of the table. With the mood in their camp at a red-hot high, the former Rayo Vallecano boss will be calling on his squad to lay down another marker on Saturday afternoon. With some around the Vitality dreaming of the chance to book a genuine European charge, Bournemouth will now be hoping to find some stability on their travels. Aside from an action-packed 3-2 win against Everton on August 31st, that is the only away victory that the Cherries have recorded since the end of April.

Bet: Goal to be scored in both halves at Brentford vs Bournemouth 3/5 for Saturday’s Premier League battle @ BetUS
