Bitesize Prediction: Brentford vs Newcastle – 26/02/22

Competition: Premier League

Market: Newcastle draw no bet

Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on what has been a real purple patch, Newcastle will make the trip to a struggling Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Brentford might have impressed many when making their Premier League debut last year, Thomas Frank’s men now find themselves in the midst of a real struggle. Last seen getting hit with a 2-1 defeat away at Champions League chasers Arsenal, the Bees have come tumbling down the table and are now looking over their shoulder at the drop zone. With many in their camp fearing that they are now in a real battle to extend on their top-flight status this season, Frank’s men have remarkably picked up just a single point from their last eight Premier League matchups. With their recent run of form stemming all the way back to January 2nd, Brentford have also shown some extended problems at the back. Facing a stern test here, the Bees could be bracing themselves for a must-win showdown in west London.

As for the visitors, putting in another hugely impressive display last weekend as they claimed a 1-1 draw away at West Ham, there is no doubt that the mood in Eddie Howe’s camp should be at a real high. Finding a route out of the bottom-three and now sat in pole position to extend on their Premier League status, the Magpies have really breathed life back into their campaign. In fact, the former Bournemouth boss finds his side enjoying a six-match top-flight unbeaten run, a run that included three straight victories against Aston Villa, Everton and Leeds. Smelling the chance to lay down another marker when they make the trip to west London here, Newcastle are undoubtedly enjoying their brightest run of the 2021/22 campaign. Given the recent gulf in class, an away draw no bet certainly appears at attractive odds on Saturday afternoon.

Bet: Newcastle draw no bet 1/1 for Saturday’s Premier League battle @ 888sport
