Two A-League outfits who are desperate to sign off their campaign with a flurry, Brisbane will welcome Sydney to the Moreton Daily Stadium on Tuesday morning.
Starting with the hosts, putting in another toothless display last week at home against Central Coast, there is no doubt that Brisbane are desperate to draw a line under the 2022 campaign. Eventually getting hit with a 2-0 loss at home against the Mariners, Head Coach Warren Moon finds real pressure on his position in Queensland. Spending the whole of this season battling it out at the foot of the A-League table and mustering just a single point from their last four outings, it should also be noted that the Roar have recorded just a single victory since March 19th. Now suffering back-to-back 2-0 defeats, fans around the Moreton Daily Stadium have also seen their side only show a string of issues in the final third. It is worth highlighting, Moon’s downbeat squad have failed to record more than a single strike in any of their previous six contests.
As for the visitors, also last seen over the weekend putting in a woeful display, Sydney find themselves at the heart of an A-League nightmare over recent weeks. Blown away at home against Melbourne Victory and with the mood in their camp at a real low, the Australian giants have now lost each of their last five outings across all formats. Showing a host of problems while on AFC Champions League duties, it should also be noted that the former champions are without a single win since April 9th. Enduring what has been their worst run of form in recent memory, Head Coach Steve Corica has seen his side come tumbling out of the top-six. Likewise, with each of the previous seven showdowns between Tuesday’s opponents finishing with under 2.5 goals, we’re backing a similar outcome here.
Bet: Under 3.5 goals at Brisbane Roar vs Sydney 2/5 for Tuesday’s A-League showdown @ 888sport
