Bitesize Prediction: Burnley vs Blackburn – 13/11/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport

In what is a heavyweight Lancashire derby on Sunday afternoon, Burnley will welcome Blackburn to Turf Moor for what should be a lively affair.

Starting with the hosts, while Burnley might have been disappointed by their action-packed 5-2 loss away at Sheffield United last weekend, Vincent Kompany’s side came roaring back a few days ago. Managing to extend on their EFL Cup adventure in midweek after picking up a 3-1 win at home against Crawley, the former Manchester City icon should find the mood in his camp at a real high. Only continuing to impress since opening the 2022/23 campaign, many around Turf Moor are dreaming of an immediate Premier League this season. Losing just one of their last 19 straight matchups across all formats – a run that stems all the way back to August 12th – Burnley have continued to shine with their displays in the final third. It should be noted, Sunday’s hosts have bagged 10 strikes in just their last four appearances.

As for the visitors, putting in a stellar display earlier in the week as they picked up a Premier League scalp, Blackburn are enjoying their own extended purple patch. Eventually coming past West Ham while on EFL Cup duties, the Rovers also find themselves battling it out in the automatic promotion chase. Appearing to have really found their feet under Head Coach Jon Dahl Tomasson, they have now won six of their previous seven matchups across all formats. With that run highlighted by a 2-1 victory away at Middlesbrough last month, Blackburn will be desperate to pick up Lancashire bragging rights this weekend. Spearheaded by attacking talisman Ben Brereton Díaz who has already notched nine Championship strikes, neutrals could be in for an enjoyable showdown at Turf Moor here.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Burnley vs Blackburn 4/11 for Sunday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
