Competition: Championship

Market: Burnley win

Odds: 1/1 @ Pribet

Hoping to find a route back into the automatic promotion spots on Tuesday night, Burnley will welcome West Brom to Turf Moor.

Starting with the hosts, while Burnley might have watched their FA Cup adventure come to an end on March 1st following a 3-0 drumming against local rivals Preston, Scott Parker’s side are enjoying what has become a real Championship romp. Putting in a dominant display last weekend as they cruised their way to a 4-0 romp against relegation scrappers Luton, the former Fulham boss has seen his squad win each of their previous three second-tier appearances by an aggregate score of 10-1. Signing off February with another 4-0 victory against Sheffield Wednesday, the Clarets have certainly found a recent clinical edge in the final third. Opening the midweek fixtures sat within touching distance of finding a route back into the automatic promotion spots, Parker’s side will be looking to make another statement here. It should also be noted, the Lancashire-based outfit have remarkably not suffered a single defeat from any of their last 23 consecutive Championship appearances – a purple patch that stems all the way back to November 3rd.

As for the visitors, making an immediate return to winning ways last weekend as they collected a 1-0 victory against QPR, West Brom have skyrocketed their way back into the play-off spots. However, although Tony Mowbray’s men might be unbeaten in all of their previous four Championship appearances, the former Blackburn boss is still searching for some recent stability. In fact, the Baggies have failed to record consecutive Championship wins since the middle of September. Likewise, despite being last seen on their travels snatching a 1-1 stalemate away at Leeds, West Brom have gained an unwanted reputation for their issues on the road. Including a shock 2-1 defeat against relegation scrappers Plymouth on February 1st, Mowbray’s men have remarkably failed to win any of their last 11 consecutive matchups away from the Hawthorns across all competitions. Hit with a 2-1 defeat when they travelled to Turf Moor for a Championship showdown in January 2023, we are expecting a similar outcome here.
