Hoping to skyrocket their way into the top-six, Real Betis will travel to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla when they meet Cadiz on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Cadiz might have managed to snatch consecutive 0-0 stalemates against Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao, the Yellow Submarine still find themselves tipped as a leading relegation contender in 2024. Opening Friday’s showdown sat three points adrift of La Liga safety, Mauricio Pellegrino appears to have a real job on his hands. In fact, on what has become an infamous top-flight rut, the Andalusia-based outfit have remarkably failed to win any of their previous 19 straight La Liga appearances – a run that stems all the way back to September 1st. Likewise, failing to win any of their last eight showdowns at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, Cadiz have also gained a reputation for their extended issues in the final third. Along with failing to find the net in any of their previous three La Liga outings, Friday’s hosts have also draw a blank in five of their last six appearances.

As for the visitors, missing out on what they had billed as a real opportunity last weekend as they had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against Getafe, Real Betis will be seeking an immediate response here. However, while Manuel Pellegrini’s side might still be dreaming of the chance to book another top-six finish, they do have the feel of a squad seeking some recent stability. Crashing out of the Copa del Rey last month following a 1-0 defeat against Alaves, the former West Ham boss has seen his squad win just a pair of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions. If Betis are to break back into the European places on Friday night, then they will be calling on the red-hot Isco to spearhead their charge here. Once again finding the net against Getafe last week, the former Real Madrid superstar has bagged four goals in as many domestic appearances.

Bet: Isco over 0.5 shots on target against Cadiz 7/10 for Friday’s La Liga battle @ 1xBet
