Competition: Brazil Serie B

Market: CRB double chance

Odds: 3/5 @ BetUS

Looking to extend on their recent purple patch this weekend, CRB will travel to the Arena Conda on Sunday night when they meet Chapecoense.

Starting with the hosts, while Chapecoense might have clung to their Serie B status last season, it is no secret that the Big Green find themselves in the midst of another second-tier struggle. Last seen putting in another downbeat display as they slumped to an action-packed 4-2 loss away at Tombense, Gilmar Dal Pozzo does find some mounting pressure on his shoulders. Along with marking their return from June’s international break with back-to-back 1-1 stalemates against Sport Recife and Criciuma, the Santa Catarina-based outfit are without a win from any of their previous nine straight Serie B appearances. With that extended struggle stemming all the way back to May 12th, the former Parana boss has also seen his squad gain a reputation for their continued issues on home soil. Including a 1-0 loss against fellow strugglers Sampaio Correa last month, Chapecoense are without a win from their last seven showdowns at the Arena Conda.

As for the visitors, while CRB might have opened the 2023 campaign at the heart of a real struggle, the Galo have certainly come roaring back on either side of June’s international break. Putting in another hugely impressive performance earlier in the week as they claimed a 2-0 victory at home against leading promotion contenders Sport Recife, Umberto Louzer’s side have now lost just one of their last seven appearances. With that extended flurry stemming all the way back to May 27th, the Reds should be confident of making another statement here. Skyrocketing their way up the Serie B standings, CRB have also found a real clinical edge. Along with opening July with a 2-1 win against Londrina, Louzer’s side should also be excited by their recent success against Sunday’s hosts. Clinching back-to-back Serie B victories against Chapecoense by a 2-1 scoreline, we are backing an away double chance this weekend.

Bet: CRB double chance against Chapecoense 3/5 for Sunday’s Brazil Serie B battle @ BetUS
